Very Dangerous Why ? 1) you use the choice command for the menu : Choice command is not by default in Windows XP, so the prog continu automaticaly..... 2) You use cbrom with PUBKEY method and isa method, PUBKEY method break some BIOS Your routine did not control the result after patch with cbrom. 3)ex : i patch a bios in XP, no choice command, Your prog say : patch success I break the bios (i have a bios programmer so no pb for ME ! ) So, congratulation for you're participation, but.... human touch for bios moding is necessary !!
It's not that hard to mod a BIOS ... if you're able to flash a BIOS you should be able to mod one yourself too.
Yes this is the very first release, think of it as an alpha build. I hope to improve it and make it much more acurate. Do you know which BIOSes the ISA method can break? And is it only ASUS boards that need the extra isa's? Please any feedback is welcome.
Sorry, that was worded badly ... I guess what I meant was ... It takes like what ... a couple of commands to patch a BIOS? Do we really need an "auto" patcher for this? None ... that's my point, silly.
I'm talking about what this 'auto-patcher' does: Code: cbrom somebios.bin /ISA someslic.bin So OK, I take it back ... lol, it's not a couple of commands, it's one.
I dont want to get in to argument, so excuse me... I dont think that using auto patcher, makes you a bios modder.. Try making a auto patcer by your self, than I can say, you realy can do bios modd... And does using a keygen or patcher, makes you cracker....I dont think so.. No ofence taken..
No offense at all Petar, I agree with you. Using a keygen doesn't make you cracker. I never said it did. Certainly creation of the BIOS mods is not easy work, and not something that I am qualified to do ... I simply meant that it is a trivial task to actually insert a pre-made SLIC into your own BIOS. That's all, no offense to you or anybody.
