Background desktop wallpaper goes black after January update

    I see why this bug never happened to me... I had my wallpaper set to "Fill" :p

    Only in the System32 folder. From the winsxs folder you can take the old version, there are several of them.

    this is the FIX set your wallpaper to FILL

    It is NOT a fix, it's just a workaround.

  8. I got the update pushed via Windows Update but I decided to hide it, as I don't have a stretched wallpaper. Might probably be included for this Patch Tuesday coming (or March even).

    i haven't had this kind of problem until now after having installed the patch 2 days ago. Everyhting is working properly at this moment.
     
  11. If I'm understanding this right, that latest update caused that to happen. If that's correct, just as well I didn't have it installed then (but since about two years ago I hibernate my system each day now).
