When I try to download the files below, the files are not found at the userscloud site for the feb 2016 update.
1). win10 education x86 and win10 education N x64
2). win10 enterprise x86
3). Win10 multiple edition N x86
3). win10 iot x86 and x64

 

The best way IMHO is to do it in a fast external drive (USB 3.0 with UASP) insert it on a windows system or windows virtual machine, open an elevated cmd and type:

diskpart
list disk

Take note of the disk you want to select

select disk 1 (if your disk is Disk 1)
clean
convert gpt
create partition EFI size=100
format quick fs=fat32 label=EFI
assign letter=S
create partition primary
format fs=ntfs quick label=W2G (or any other name you wish for label)
assign letter=E
exit

Open up File Explorer. In your C drive, create a new folder named WIN2GO.
Put the install.wim file in this folder

Back in cmd.exe:

dism /apply-image /imagefile:C:\WIN2GO\install.wim /index:1 /applydir:E:\ (this process will take quite a while)

E:\Windows\System32\bcdboot E:\Windows /s S: /f UEFI (use this one for UEFI installation)

Restart your entire Mac. After the chime, hold down Option and when prompted to select your boot drive, select EFI Boot

Proceed installation normally.

After installation, install Boot Camp drivers. Feel free to trash the VM once you're done too.

Nope, feb update 2016 aka 1511.1 aka 10586.103 are the latest official released MSDN/VLSC iso's.

There's no point on using localized versions siche is matter of a couple of mouse clicks to have windows in any languages you want.

If you stick with ITA medium, you'll have to wait each time a new ISO is released

 

1. Just to confirm, en_windows_10_multiple_editions_version_1511_updated_feb_2016_x64_dvd_8379634.iso is the latest ISO released by M$, right? If I am not mistaken, it is also called as Win10_1511_1_English_x64.iso.

2. What is the difference between the ISO mentioned in Question1, and SW_DVD5_Win_Pro_10_1511.1_64BIT_English_MLF_X20-93914.ISO (from VLSC)?

3. Why didn't M$ release the updated Windows 10 ISO for build 10.0.10586.218 (April 2016 Update included)? I am referring to Windows 10 ISO for Current Branch (CB) "Consumer grade".

They are going to release the new ISOs in July with the new 14xxx build or whatever will be numbered. Building a new ISO now would be a waste of time.

Instead would be nice to have Win7/8.1/ Server 200r2/Server2012 r2 updated ISOs, installing an original W7 today means more than 2GB of WU updates, many reboots, and an huge waste of time.

That would be useful, but hardly MS minds to do so, as they want the flock moves on new lands...

 

You can easily create an updated 7 SP1 yourself Use simplix pack and boss911 simple script, you'll end up with an almost fully updated (leaves the 10 telemetry updates out) iso.

 

Obviously I know that. But I can't consider myself as an average user.

The majority of people, including people who lives fixing PCs, don't really bother to do so, unless thy find an unofficial ISO on the Internet.

No backup needed. After the first time you can even format your HDD, windows will be activated the first time you connect to internet.
