Due to new mobos (h110, b360, h370) I'm defeated in my pursuit of happiness with W7. I will have to throw away my baby. But I will make W10 my little bitch. That f**ker will never send out a byte out of my watch. I will rip its heart off and throw it into fire.

I'm looking for the most extensive open source software which can try to turn all W10 bulls**t off. I will block any connection with my firewall anyway but I want to remove as many bloatware as possible from this disgrace of an operating system.

    Thanks.

Also, how do we make start menu and taskbar to look like W7?

Also what's the best way to update this sh*t if you don't wanna let telemetry updates in?

Why can't you use Windows 7? AFAIK 300 series Intel boards and chipsets support Windows 7 and you can patch your installation to allow updates.

Classic Shell is just free and does a good job.

@puffyduff win 10 ltsb only receives security updates,no feature updates(hence the name long term servicing branch). You can not even install latest graphics driver on ltsb as they are based on wddm version that comes with RS3 while ltsb 2016 is based on RS1 & has an older wddm version.

What I'm asking is if WHDownloader respects your edition and henceforth shows you the updates for your edition. It's not very clear.
By graphics driver I think you mean internal graphics ie intel graphics. Which I wouldn't need anyway since I'm using a graphics card.

I don't use whdownloader but from whatever I know about it,it only shows updates relevant to your os in its default configuration.

Graphics driver,as name suggests, includes all types of graphics-onboard/integrated/dedicated.You can not install latest intel/nvidia/amd gfx drivers on ltsb 2016.This is one of the main reason why many prefer tweaking regular win 10 versions instead of using ltsb even if they don't want new features.

Information-ReadMe.txt is there for a good reason :)

creating a separate list for each W10 version will be redundant

each W10 version basically require 3 updates:
servicing stack update, cumulative update, adobe flash player update

additionally, some need few extra updates, like .NET 4.7.x pack

Maybe nvidia released some special version of its driver but I still doubt it.Confirm you are indeed running ltsb by checking win 10 version details in computer properties & nvidia driver date from device manager & version number from nvidia control panel system info.

No problem here running latest nvidia driver on ltsb 2016, btw your link pointed to AMD drivers not NVIDIA.

To stay on topic, i don't use any telemetry software, i just use manual tweaks via gpedit, task scheduler, services, registry.
i think those software are not bad (getwpd, OO, W10privacy........), but the only annoying is the IP block list provided by these tools ; i've experienced my self some real problem when using Windows Update after added multiple IP's to the firewall, update get slow to download and if you first tweak you IP using these tools on a fresh install (before connected to internet), you'll will get bad delivery updates (i must run windows disk cleanup to remove ''old'' security patch), if i tweak nothing prior using WU, i will get the right updates and diskcleanup is showing nothing to delete. Test yourself and you'll will see.

I can confirm that the IPs added by WPD (maybe others, but I only noticed it with this tool) significantly slow down the download speed of files from Microsoft servers.

My best guess is it's blocking some major CDNs from Microsoft or something.

@windsman @Puremin0rez why are you even tyrying to block IPs? Just block exe's and services like a real man. Use a firewall like sphinx and call it a day!
