Why don't use Comodo Internet Security.

It's fully free and good product (AV, firewall, Defence +, etc)

Here is the some comparison tests.

    "h ttp://w ww.matousec.com/projects/proactive-security-challenge/results.php"
    (Comodo's score %100)

    "h ttp://w ww.virus.gr/portal/en/content/2009-08%2C-10-august-05-september"
    (Comodo's score %95,57)

    I use M$ Security Essential version 2.0

Quote: The report is based on version 1.0, but improvements are to be expected .

It's free and runs on W7 domain client and W2K8R2 both domain client and domain controller configuration without any problems.

    I'm very much surprised!

Norton, ESET, Avast all are good...
But currently I'm using Microsoft Security Essential 2 to remove virus from my PC, it is very handy and powerful tool against spyware...
Its free and updates are available...

I have been using nod32 since the beginning. It has always been fast and no resource hungry, especially its first versions, when the real time monitor was called AMON.

I have pretty much tried out all the antiviruses out there, but have always rooted back to ESET Smart Security. Kaspersky, norton, bitdefender mcafee.. yep tried them all out..and yet i was never satisfied. Am a rather prudent user when it comes to suspicious files , and i have found that ESET has the right balance between speed and system resources. Plus it is got a pretty good firewall which prevents some of the "legal" softwares on my netbook from phoning home. The closest i have come to the ESET experience was with bitdefender 2011. have had ESET since their version 2.70 and have never looked back...4 years is helluva commitment :worthy:

Pros of ESET: Low footprint, clean interface, non-intrusive, checks for OS updates, great firewall (in interactive mode), small updates
Cons: cant think of any...maybe the detection rates?..
