Just by thinking on this I get a pita, headache, hyperventilation and sweat :D
How in the world browsing the Internet could be a pleasant experience while watching/being careful of every link you see?
Moreover, to watch the real link hovering the mouse over the visible link and determine if it points to a bad site or something.
Noooo, I'm too lazy and preoccupied in other affairs than that. Rather I go for Sandboxie then I am a happy clicker...

A friend of mine for all intents and purposes made a voluntary keylogger (it doesn't phone home but the server phones it for updates) just to see if people would go for that kind of stuff.

He's averaging about 20,000 active users a week. People are nuts. I realize that it's people spying on their spouses and stuff but still, that's way more trust than Google deserves to effectively check every update sent out on what's already halfway to malware if people didn't just go straight up and choose to download the damn thing knowing what it is.

Why? I use PowerShell, and Windows Script Hosting a lot. That doesn't sound like a very good idea.

I would use kaspersky or bitdefender.

Looks like Kaspersky is a little better based on this last report.
