K-lite is the best, shark007 gives me many audio problems and I had to uninstall it. K-lite works even with WMP12 and support subtitles.

I believe K-Lite to be the best. The developers actually stay up-to-date with the SVN releases of MPC-HC, and release updates regularly with codec updates and tweaks. CCCP definitely does not put out a new release as frequently...

I tried K-Lite on my laptop, but i dont see anything getting added in wmp 12. I only see the older classic player added with all the plugins.

i used to use K-lite also, i think ill try to move to a more minimal installation, now im using:
    1. ffdshow (audio+video)
    2. AC3 filter
    3. Haali media splitter
    4. BSplayer
    5. MPC home-cinema
with this configurationi i can play any sound file + watch HD content on my TV, there is no need to install k-lite huge bundle.

K-lite Mega Pack (I needed Real rmvb support for asian dramas)

Chose Playbacks Only + Media Classic Player Option

works great and feel no lag.

Klite codec is by far the best one. I used sharks VCP, couple of times, but i kept going back to klite pack. klite also have media player classic that can play any video files using DXVA.

klite codec for me all the way
