I've used Slim Drivers (can't post link 'cause I'm just a twerp) a couple times and found it to be hassle free. They seem to be updating/improving it and not only pushing fee based software the way most of these driver update sites operate. Intel has it's own update site that can work in a pinch to find Intel drivers. Video drivers can be tricky so I usually don't use driver finding software recommendations for high performance nVidia/ATI. I sometimes use the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach to driver installs.
As far as video card drivers are concerned, especially with higher end cards, i always go to the manufacturers web site and get it directly from them.
