Well LOTR books are pretty big :) so if they would stick 100% to them, one movie could have had abou 6 hrs?:)) Anyways still a great pack IMO.

It should have been 6 movies sir, it's actually 6 books. This 100% thing irks me, there is a saying , "if you can't do something properly then don't do it at all".

To be fair, the movies were quite long, and the director (IMHO) did a much better job than most directors do today (COUGH COUGH UWE BOLL, SHAWN LEVY). However it still bugs me how Peter Jackson thought that turning 6 complicated books into 3 movies was a good idea. If you think about it, LOTR is a million-dollar franchise - if they had made six movies it could have only turned out more profitable for them -0-

The nerve of Hollywood these days..... as if LOTR wasnt enough - they went on and butchered HP and the Half-Blood Prince as well, despite it being one measly old book! I mean, come on, seriously people!

They butchered the Potter series starting from book 2, Book 1 is decent at best. It went progressively downhill from then to the point where stuff wasn't just cut out, they decided that they knew better than Rowling and they added stuff. Now Harry Potter is a very flimsy story if you look at it closely so if you struggle with that then I shudder to think what they will do to the Hobbit. I would love to see Hollywood make the Silmarillion just for laughs. :D

OMG saw Tintin last night - it was great! one of the few great movies of 2011! (A prime time example of a bad one would be Drive Angry - now that was BADDDDDD )
