I the same problem, but the Win 10 are Dell OEM and they have so much bloat. How would your remove them? Powershell can only do so much with "Mixed" results.
You can actually activate both of them permanently using the HWID method, but we aren't allowed to discuss it here on MDL forum AFAIK.
Have you missed the Education edition being present both in the normal consumer iso along pro and home, and in the business one along enterprise? That's because it can be used both in a centralized, domain environment with IT support for automatic vl activation (mostly universities, getting awesome deals for hundred PCs, office and other software even CAD), and in standalone scenarios with retail-like individual keys (small schools, with donation/cheap few PCs spread to library, secretary, two lab classes at most). Keys are often leaked online by students (or even teachers as I've spotted several times), but it's not damaging to the school or whatever, since they get a large pack of keys, and can request others as needed (with MS blacklisting those reported, but the Digital License survives and can use generic key afterwards). I do tech support for many such high-schools in my area and that's how it is.
Okay I see, so then what's the upgrade route for retail Education? Can I go Win 7 Pro -> Win 10 Education? Win 7 Enterprise doesn't support upgrades to 10, which is why you can't permanently activate it this way. I thought it's also the case for Education.
Upgrade from anything it's stated everywhere as one of the strong features of Education edition. There's no limitation like in Enterprise
So if I have a digital license for 10 Pro on my machine I can just clean install Education, and it'll be automatically activated? What will happen if I reinstall Pro later on?
But Pro != Enterprise. Win 7 Pro only lets you upgrade to Win 10 Pro (or lower). I've tried the 7 Pro -> 10 Enterprise route before (specifically ltsb), and it didn't work.
No it will not be automatically activated.Win 10 pro license is different from win 10 Education. However if you do have a legit education key & use that to activate it then a single HWID can hold multiple digital licenses. In future if you reinstall pro then it will be automatically activated as per your pro DL & if you reinstall education then it will be automatically activated as per your education DL(assuming you used a retail education key for the 1st install).
