Actually, all the machines ARE the exact same model. Same mobo, same processor, RAM, everything. They are exactly the same. Does that affect anything? Also, would using KMSpico work, if I clean install W10 on the original machine and run KMSpico there, then copy the image to the other machines? I've heard KMSpico works, but is not as good as DAZ or MSToolkit.
In that case the daz loader should work. If you don't care about the "legit" entitlement you can just clone a single w10 image with a KMS service installed. And you'll be done. That's up to you. The latter choice is potentially less future proof, it's formally way less legit, but it's faster (smaller disk image to move, one os only to install, no reboots involved, and so on)
Yeah, that's what I heard and why I was gravitating more toward DAZ, it seems to be the best solution as far as keeping things legit and future-proof. Ok, so I can just follow the steps you wrote in post #16, but just swap MSToolkit with DAZ? Just to confirm, these are the steps I intend to follow: 1. Format the computers. 2. Clean install Murphy's W10 and configure it the way it needs to be, 3. Clean install Murphy's W7 on another partition on the same computer to dual boot, 4. Copy the gatherosstate.exe from the W10 ISO to the W7 desktop, 5. Use Acronis to clone the whole drive to all the other computers, 6. Boot into Windows 7 on each computer and activate each one with DAZ, 7. Right click the gatherosstate.exe file the Windows 7 desktop and Run as administrator, 8. Copy the generated GenuineTicket.xml file from the Windows 7 desktop to %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\ClipSVC\GenuineTicket in the W10 installation, 9. Delete the Windows 7 VHD. It seems pretty simple, and from what I read I agree, this seems to be the best way to do it. Really appreciate you taking the time to help me out. I'm surprised no one else has tried this before that I've seen anywhere else.
Obviously that isn't needed. You are going to overwrite the images with acronis. yes Better and faster to use a native VHD, as I said. But if you want just use the old school way Dont forget to use W7 PRO (this way you can use both daz or kms) yes yes No. If you use the daz loader just do it before the cloning process (this for identical machines). If you use the kms just do it before the cloning process. (this, better, for any machine, identical or not) Yes Yes Delete the vhd if you did deploy w7 on a vhd If you chose the partition way you need to remove the w7 partition and enlarge the w10 one.
Your method would be what I would do if I were setting a computer up for personal use. These computers are going to be in an office environment, so if anything goes wrong it's not a big deal to just wipe them and start over. Of course, it would be better if that never happened, but from what I hear, using DAZ is a pretty solid way to go. I do like your way, though. I copied it to a .txt file for future reference. Thanks for the awesome advice!
If this is the case, why do I still need to copy the W7 partition to the other computers? If it gets activated successfully on one computer, couldn't I just copy the W10 image to the other computers, since they have the exact same hardware? Or am I missing something?
This case could be a perfect example why MSFT is offering small businesses the "7 dollar a month per user" subscription for enterprise
What T-S posted above is a good way to go. Just use Daz loader and not KMS, then delete the Win 7 OS once You have the Digital License. The RTM "should" hopefully be available tomorrow so You have plenty of time to set the Win 10 OS up and program it before the Free upgrade offer ends.
