I need a Master Password or at least a working method (for a really old PC) to reset the bios password as i have forgotten it. the mainboard is Intel D925XECV2 Its on Pentium 4
An easier method? I don't think so. In most cases, you can clear the CMOS from within your BIOS menu, but since you don't have access to it, this is the only way you can clear the CMOS.
hello and thanks for the directions a small problem occurred by my fault i cleared cmos and removed the battery just for being sure and then i switched on the PC without put back the cmos chip (because i forgot) and now my pc is not booting I dont know what i have done wrong When im starting it the fans start and nothing else please help me
Wont boot without a bios chip installed or are you saying it wont boot now you have reinstalled the chip?
at the start of my fault it wasn't boot maybe because i have not installed the chip back to it's position Now it permanently not boot One clue: i destroyed a bit the chip. its kinda cracked, but at the upper side of it
