Please need some help, I own hp dv4 1120us notebook and in bios menu, serial number, product number and uuid with strange letters or missing, ive tried everything. Ive been told from someone to use hp dmi/tatto utility but dont know where and how to get the file.How can product information from the bios menu dissapear?Can i restore it or edit?
As long as the machine works ok I wouldnt bother with it. However, the dmi utility cd is in a sticky thread in the XP section.
