I have a HP Compaq TC4200 that the hard drive died. It is set to boot to hard drive first and the bios password is set and no one remembers it.

I have been reading up and pulling the battery only resets the "power on" password not the bios password.

Could it be force flashed with one of the Fn key combos, or if I post the serial number can someone find the master PW?

Is there a solution for this that would get this back up and running?
Could we make up a bootable hard drive off another computer?
    Thanks

you could start windows 7 setuo or xp on another pc.. and on first reboot. shut it down and switch it to the laptop. when it boots it will continue the setup.

also u could use cmospwd if u could boot dos.
