Hi all. I have no support for usb booting and no floppy drive. Can anyone guide me on how to create a bootable cd to recover original bios.

    hp 5230tx bad flash

Hello, I bricked a HP 5230TX during a bios flash, I've got a usb floppy and pen drive and i've tried pen drive with no results at all, the floppy on the other hand with older versions of phlash16 seems to tick away for a couple of minutes then just makes a buzz then 2 beeps then it sits there inactive forever. If i try newer versions of phlash16/17 it doesn't boot, the light flashes for a few seconds then stops. I've tried every phlash16 i can get my hands on but only 2 old versions at least attempt to recover but I think the versions are too old to flash the board. Any hints from people who have successfully recovered a phoenix bios would be handy.

also, the autoexec.bat files you mention, it seems they aren't required, im not sure how these phoenix recovery disks work but they seem to do the same with/without them.. they do try recover without it, it doesn't appear to work the way a normal msdos boot disk would. this is proven by me changing the phlash16.exe to different versions and getting different boot results. there is no way dos could load and then phlash16 load without an autoexec.bat normally but it seems in recovery mode somehow it does?

Help for my brother's computer recover the BIOS

    Few days ago ...

I suggest the windows 7 at my brother.

and update that modified the BIOS(P4S533-E, SLIC 2.1)

    But, not working.

    Model is P4S533-L ( Hyunju OEM )

So, finding the Original BIOS, and did not find that.

Some people can find original BIOS or modified BIOS ROM ?

been trying this for the rest hour, no success...
I had my MB (GA-X38-DQ6) restarted, even several times, but no recovery running ... just default screen with logos

I know BIOS fails just before starting counting memory

please tell me the MB is still recoverable

Maybe you're shorting the pins on the wrong bios chip. Primary and backup could be in a different order and also could be oriented differently.

I pressed the right ones, but it seems like disconnecting Hard Drives is not enough... CD/DVD ROM should be disconnected too...

So I managed to fix this, BIOS corrupted...
    but RAID0 failed...

    help please?

So I was updating the Bios on a Gateway Laptop MT6457 and Windows crashed
Now the laptop won't post. It turns on, Screen is dead, I see the lights on (wireless stays on) the other ones turn off, the fan I hear running. I tried booting from the floppy drive but the light doesn't even turn on so my guess the USB ports are not working? I also tried many times putting the bios file in the CD, making it bootable etc. No luck so far. Is there a special command for gateway laptops? I've tried pretty much every command I saw in this thread. I'm running out of ideas. Please help :(
