I tried all the methods (btw, i have a HP pavilion dv5-1178er with Insyde Bios) with the old and the new Bios files too, but nothing happens. It doesn't even tries to read the files from the USB pen drive or DVDrom. If anybody has an oppinion...I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Hi, I have a notebook hp6871us. I tried to update my bios, i tried to use the software from hp.com(the new version is F.58 A) (Phoenix). After the update, my notebook send the beep code: 1 long beep and 2 short beeps. This code is for video problems, but it don't make sense to me. Could it be a problem with my bios? what bios version may i need? the older? try the new version again? Can you suggest something to me? Thanks for all.
Anyone knows what's the key combo for MEDION Phoenix bios Recovery mode? I have tried the obvious Fn+b, Win+b, Fn-r, all 4 arrows?
Acer 5536 - Phoenix Hi, I am having major issues recovering my Phoenix BIOS using either USB Pen Drive or USB Floppy Drive. Pen drive will just not boot - tried 256mb one and larger - formatted as described so it should boot. The floppy drive seemed more promising but the bios.mph file is too large to fit on it. Can anybody help me with this? Thanks.
Thank you. I just tried that (also changed the autoexec.bat to point to the bios.bin file) and still no joy. It just does nothing. Is there a BIOS file for the Aspire 5536 which will fit onto a floppy disk? This method seemed to work better. Have anybody got any more ideas? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
