Somebody please help me I flashed my laptop Asus S96S with bios "ASUS_S96S_0803_ASUS_SLP_SLIC_2.1" download from this website. But after updating, when restarted the system stucks at boot, i.e., it shows the intel logo at bottom right, and the system stucks there. But i am able to go to bios if i press F2 buttock quickly when booting. But if i press F2 button sometime after booting it does not go to bios. I tried using the recovery procedure mentioned in this site. But the problem is i don't have a floppy drive. SO i used the usb method. I created a bootable usb and copied the bios version in to that. I also created autoexec.bat and renamed the bios to AMIboot.rom. But after restarting the light in flash drive just blinks and it did not respond. Somebody please help. I am desperately in need for help. Please help me please.
My Sager laptop with Phoenix bios is now a partial brick but none of the recovery procedures listed above seem to work for me. I can't seem to get the laptop into recovery mode in the first place to try any of the methods properly. If the laptop is trying to go into recovery mode (if I've used the correct key combination) but for whatever reason it doesn't like the drives I'm trying to boot from, what should happen? Would it progress through to normal POST or would it hang on a blank screen? Before the screen powers up, I do hear the CD spinning up and see the access light on my USB stick flashing, but this happens even when I'm not holding any keys down. Should it *always* be possible to get into recovery mode? My laptop will POST and I can enter the bios config screen without problem, so I was wondering if this would prevent recovery mode working. Is there any "hidden" way to flash the bios from within the bios config screen? If so, I may be able to recover without having to use the recovery util. As mentioned above, I seem to get all the way through POST, but then the laptop refuses to boot from any device without reporting any errors at all. Pressing F2 on the black screen where it should be booting gets the "Entering Setup..." message but nothing happens. Can anyone answer my questions above or offer any help getting into recovery mode? The laptop is less than a year old, so I would have thought it would have the recovery option. Note: I've not tried booting from a floppy as I don't have access to a USB floppy drive until Monday and my BIOS is over 2MB anyway.
I kill my laptop i already try all methos to recovery my noteboock and nothing The laptop is a: Satellite A200-1BQ. Part Number: PSAECE-01V011PT I'am downloding the last bios file in tosihba it is correct? Can provide me another bios files ou phlash16...
Has anyone been able to revive a ThinkPad thus far? I have an X61 that I have been trying to solve a problem with using the BIOS downloaded from IBM's web site. Needless to say something happened and it has failed and now the computer will not boot. I have ready many references to ThinkPads in here however I haven't read of anyone sucessfully recovering one. I have tried the Phoenix Crisis USB flash method and I am almost certain I have the correct files on there, but like many others have reported I have been unable to get the ThinkPad to even look at the USB disk for the files during boot. All it will do is turn on the Power LED, initialize the WWAN and allow the fan to run. LCD backlight does not come on and NumLock and CapsLock do nothing. I have tried Fn+B, WinKey+B, Fn+R, WinKey+R, Fn+Esc and I cannot get any different behavior. I am starting to wonder if they actually have a published recovery method available. The only reference I see is the one for the X200 and that one has been copied all over the Internet and that user says that he did not press any key to get into recovery mode. It is obviously a newer model and may work different. Any ideas? Thanks.

Award Recovery Not sure if this method is posted but is for (Compaq-MSI) Award Recovery HP dx5150 desktop 3.4.3 FailSafe Boot Block ROM The FailSafe Boot Block ROM allows for system recovery in the unlikely event of a ROM flash failure, for example, if a power failure occurs during a ROM upgrade. The Boot Block is a flash-protected section of the ROM that checks to validate the system ROM each time power to the system is turned on. Q. What if my BIOS image becomes corrupted? A. If power is lost during a BIOS flash, or the procedure is otherwise not successfully completed, the BIOS image may become corrupted. In this case, the computer may fail to startup properly, sometimes appearing to be completely dead as video may or may not be present depending on the computer. However, all is not lost, because the ROM chip contains a failsafe mechanism known as boot block recovery. In order to recover the BIOS image, place the correct ROMPaq in the diskette drive and turn on the power. A series of beeps are heard and the keyboard LEDs flash. Leave the computer on until the diskette is read and a series of beeps are heard and all three keyboard LEDs are lighted. The beeps and LEDs indicate the recovery is complete. Remove the ROMPaq. If only the Numlock LED is lighted, insert the ROMPaq and cycle power (try again). If only the CapsLock LED is lighted, enter the setup password and press the Enter key to continue. If the system does not automatically recover from the diskette, press and hold the Escape key during power-on forcing boot block recovery mode from the ROMPaq. This override is only available with PS/2 keyboard !
