I have a similar problem... the only difference is that my laptop is an ASUS M5200N.

I tried the same steps as you but I wan't sucessfull too.

I hope to find some help because the cost to recover this old laptop is much more expensive than a new one.

After much digging and cunsulting with Lenovo and Intel support I've found out that Lenovo G550 2958 have a Intel 5100n mow_rw m pcie nb wlan (li) 20002004 motherboard with with Intel Core Duo T6500 processor and GM45 express chipset.

In the Development kit user's manual for this prosessor and chipset the following information are provided:

I guess I can get the BIOS image in .bin format from the .wph that Lenovo supplies but the BIOS Programming Software Utilities (fpt.exe (DOS SPI Flash Utility)) and MAC Address Programming Software Utility (eeupdate.exe) Intel will not supply due to their customer policy. Can anybody point me towards the right channels to get these software utilities?

I am currently dealing with a dead T60 that I accidentally killed while flashing it for my cousin. Do you have links to this guy who revived the dead T400? I need all the help I can get.

    Thanks

It doesn't work on Lenovo IdeaPad G550. Did you use a Windows XP machine to run Wincrisis? The program says it does a successful job in XP compability mode but the three files (bios, minidos and phlash16 doesn't get copied over).

I will try on a machine with XP as the DOS version only can make 1.44 mb floppy recovery disks.

    Help Amilo Pi 2530

    Hello.

    I have a problem with Amilo Pi 2530 (Fujitsu-Siemens).
The notebook will not boot, just turn on the LED keypad No. and capital letters and the LED on the webcam.
I had a similar problem in an Acer laptop, and here the fault was the Bios that was corrupt. The repair to the "Phoenix Crisis Recovery" "But with the Amilo not get it to work.
I think the breakdown is the same, but can not find the exact method to perform the same operation as in the Acer (Repair the Bios).

Would greatly appreciate if someone could help me.
I think Acer, and Fujitsu-Siemens model use the same Bios (phenix).

    Thanks in advance.
PS-Sorry for my English, I hardly speak and I use the google translator..

It's weird and quite interesting that laptops with the same BIOS need different software approaches. Even Lenovo laptops in different series seems to have different solutions.

    Emachine G720 Dead

I just tried to flash a moded bios for my G720 but its bricked now. Ive tried to use crisis with a few usb drives that I have but none seem to work

So far Fn + esc makes the power light blink (when turning it on)

the crisis boot disk does cause there to be around 20 sec of activity on usb however this is also true even if you dont do a fn+esc boot.

ive got the bios.bak and ive tried this file renamed but im not getting anywhere

    has anyone any ideas

Uh ...... may I ask if there is anybody who has fixed his HP desktop PC which is using AMI BIOS? I have failed to recover the HP (AMI) BIOS as I have tried all these methods which got from the internet :

    1. Remove the power cable, insert the floppy disk in the drive and then press Windows + B Key and then replug the cable again and turn on the machine (actually it should be just working for Award BIOS)
    2. Turn on the machine and then press Ctrl + Home as forcing it to read the AMIBOOT.ROM from the floppy (it should be working but actually there is no read access to the floppy at all, no sound at all)
    3. Turn on the machine and then press all the arrows key to force it reading the XXXXX.BIN file from the floppy (again no read access to the floppy at all, I have connected the floppy drive through the floppy cable (the one look like IDE cable) but the original post said that the floppy drive need to be connected as an USB one)

By the way, I have confirmed that the floppy disk and floppy drive are working. Could anyone help me please?

    I have a dead Toshiba A 300-15J PSAJ4E
In normal mode when just powering power lwd ant top led with touch sensors lights up then few seconds later (~5-6 seconds) leds of CAPS and NUM LOCK flash once and at touchpad is a light which come on,in times CPU become a little warm and fan starts.
In time speed of fans increase-decrease like in normal usage.
    There are no beeps,nothing.
Only key combination found is Fn+ESC on which power leds blink and beeps nonstop (very loud beeps,I needed to open and disconnect speakers).
Bios is Phoenix one, unfortunately I don't have USB floppy and until next week can't buy from nowhere so I try with usb stick few variants of recovery but without luck until now.
Did anybody know a method for Toshiba recovery?
    Any advice is welcome.
    Thanks

I forgot to tell beeps sequence.
One long and two short beeps.

    Hi Guys.
I am new to the forum
I have a Dell Studio XPS 1647 that seems to have a corrupted bios and wont boot.
I have read & tried lots of uses of the crisis recovery but to no avail.
I can get it to turn on with fan on high but the USB stick remains quiet.
I know that I am close to fixing this sucker but need a extra hand.
    Any suggestions.
It ihas no warranty, was brought this way.

    bit stuck with mini 110

has anyone found a way that actually works for this device?

my mini 110 wont post, it will not boot from any of the drives or respond to f9 or f10 to select / change boot device / order.

I can get it to appear like its trying to go into bios recovery mode (caps lock led flashing) but it doesnt actually read any files from the USB stick. do the files need to be named something specific? does it have to be on a floppy?

    any help much appreciated

    cheers
    kX
