    Hi,

    Have you tried these procedure:-
    1. On a clean USB Flash Drive is formatted FAT16 or FAT32, copy original 3660F11.fd
    file, and rename it to 3660.BIN
    2. Disconnect power supply and remove the battery
    3. Press and hold Win and B keys
    4. Connect the power supply and press the power button
    5. Release the Win and B keys after 3-5 seconds
    6. Recovery process will begin to load the BIOS image in memory
    7. After few seconds computer start beeping every 2 seconds – a process of flash BIOS
    8. Computer shuts down automatically after flashing done

    NOTE: If <Win> + <B> doesn't work, try <Ctrl> + <Home>. For each try, let it run for 15 minutes.

    I found this on the net while ago. I just saved the content - credit to the original contributor. He/she done this on HP Mini 311. I just changed it according to your HP Mini 210-1156SA's BIOS file name. To obtain the 3660F11.fd file, you can extract from the .EXE file using WINRAR (sp47982.exe --> 3660F11.exe --> 3660F11.fd). Good luck.

    RIGHT!, so I tried to use this "wincrisis" tool!, gives me the "failed to start service "wincrisis"", so I read someone said to put it in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode, so I did!

    It worked... or at least TEASED me into thinking it worked... went through the steps, repluged it when it said to... said no..

    BLANK DRIVE... as in NOTHING ON IT... IT DIDNT DO JACK f**kING s**t...

    so any help would be appreciated, otherwise me thinks i should just take this thing and throw it off the top of my house...

    How long did you wait? Did you follow the procedure exactly? Do not turn off your notebook just because you don't see any activity on thumb drive. Let it run for 15 minutes. I know your're panic. You need to relax or you'll make silly mistake.

    The BIOS file must identical with platform name. Insyde BIOS recovery require BIOS file with correct filename. I found these in the BIOS exe file:-
    PlatformName=3660
    PlatformName2=NM6

    If you have memory card, use it as well. Rename the BIOS file to (all are identical file):-
    - 3660.BIN
    - NM6.BIN

    Put both files in USB thumb drive & in memory card. Redo the BIOS recovery procedure. (Don't interrupt the procedure just because you don't see any activity at all)

    I would just like to say I encountered problem after problem using the wincrisis creation method in Win7. I suffered for 2 weeks trying to get it to work properly, it worked good with floppy, but never with USB drive. Anyway, I found an old Pentium 4 PC, put WinXP on there, and voila, perfect compatibility. I guess for some people, Win7 will not work, I read a lot here and see mixed results for it, so if it is not working for you, I just want to say use XP, is a guarantee.

    Unfortunately I still can't recover my Lenovo, but this is another story. Also, the recovery sticky's here need much updating. After several back and forth PM's with TTAV134, I learned a lot and was surprised to see incorrect information there (ie: there is no need for an autoexec.bat file, and config.sys is never created)...etc... I wish someone would bring them up to date with accurate procedural steps.

    I have a major problem with my BIOS!!! I have HP Pavillion DV9312ea and 3 days ago i tried to update bios (version F.2D) with the new version F.2E. Unfortunatly after the installation and after the rebooting my laptop didnt start (black screen with 3 continious beep). I tried to clear CMOS but nothing changed (i just not have the 3 beeps). Also i tried the methods (see post #1) with the usb stick but nothing changed. What can i do to ? Can you guide me please??

    I know that and i should start wearing my glasses :) but the link was : rapidshare.c__/files/269100059/WINCRISIS.zip . Anyway i found it and i made that method (in win XP) you suggested me but awfully failed. I tried also the fermart's method (in win 7) and also failed. I dont know if all these methods are the right for HP DV9000 series. Does this model support "bios recovery"? Because my last chance to revive my laptop is to change the BIOS chip :( .
