    Hello, after a BIOS update, my HP 210-1110EQ doesn't want to start-up, i just hear the sound of the cooler, the display is off. I did not interupt the process, i took the HP BIOS Update (UEFI) program from the HP Site according to my model type. Can someone tell me what to do next?

    if it doesnt work, try this metod
    the original bios file from HP is sp49384.exe
    extract 3660F23.exe from sp49384.exe
    extract 3660F23.fd from 3660F23.exe

    rename 3660F23.fd to 3660.fd
    copy 3660.fd on a USB pen (formated FAT)

    -connect the USB pen
    -Machine stopted, press "windows" and "B"
    -connect power cord
    -press power, wait few seconds then release the keys
    -the laptop beep every second and will reboot at the end of recovery

    This doesnt work also. I tried this solution a few days ago (and again a few minutes ago), i read this about solution on a different forum but they said there to rename from 3660F23.fd to 3660.BIN . Doesn't work also. It seems like no booting at all from the USB. I have 3 USB, i tried them all.

    Did you tried "Hold down the four arrow keys, and then press the power button". Let it run for a couple of minutes, 5 - 10 minutes at least. Even if you didn't see any activity, it doesn't mean BIOS recovery is not triggered.

    Above solution only applicable if you didn't remove the HP Tools partition. If you already removed the partition, try this solution instead. Use USB flash drive with size no more than 2GB, formatted with FAT32 partition & create these folders:-
    Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\current
    Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\previous

    Remember, the folder name is case sensitive. Rename the BIOS file, 3660F23.fd to 3660.BIN. Copy 3660.BIN to current & previous folder. Repeat the BIOS recovery procedure ("Press the Power button while holding the Windows key and the B key" OR "Hold down the four arrow keys, and then press the power button"). Try each procedure for 10 minutes just to be sure.

    EDIT: I read the HP EFI Guideline & I found that if using custom partition for HP Tools - i.e. if factory HP Tools partition already removed/deleted - the custom partition must FAT32 with partition name "HP_TOOLS". So, make sure the FAT32 partition name on the USB flash drive is "HP_TOOLS".

    I tried that also, doesn't work :( I told you that it seems it's not any activity on the USB's because my memory stick (a 2 GB Sony) has an activity led and that should be blinking when the notebook reads from it. I formated the memory stick with the name HP_TOOLS and follow the steps, tried the both boot-up (4 arrows and Windows+B), still nothing. I made a print-screen but it seems i can't post it because i don't have enought post (min. 20).

    Hi,
    I flashed my HP Pavilion DV6-3132el, I tried to recover but no luck.

    -Manufacturer: HP
    -Bios Type: INSYDE
    -BIOS VERSION: F.23
    -BIOS SLIC 2.1

    Under the battery I can see: rev 1448 - 110

    I tried all the file names I could compose from platform.ini, I took the CMOS battery out, booted with Win + B ,etc but no results yet :
    [Platform_Check]
    Flag=2
    PlatformName1=1448
    PlatformName2=1449
    PlatformName3=144A
    PlatformName4=144B
    PlatformName5=144C
    PlatformName6=1447
    PlatformName7=147C
    PlatformName8=149C
    PlatformName9=1639
    PlatformName10=163A
    PlatformName11=163B
    PlatformName12=163C
    PlatformName13=163D
    PlatformName14=163E

    Last time I tried 1448.bin it looks like is reading from the usb drive, but no sounds/beeps whatsoever.
    How do I create a CD for this problem, maybe will work?

    Please help
    Thank you,
    F.

    Hi all,

    As to be expected i have bad flashed my laptop Bios, i do win+b it beeps once like it's starting the process i hear the cooler going faster as it would be flashing then just sits there for hours...

    I found out after 6 days of researsh that a 2004 phlash16.exe is compactible with my DV6670EP, how? 'Cause at least it gives me error sound then 2 beeps but after that i can't get it to work at all.

    This happened when i tried to flash F.5A bios version on my computer, tried so many tipes of diferent wincrisis, phoenix disk i even tried slip moded bios on my computer.

    The computer just hangs and nothing, has it anything to do with boot block? Or did HP disable DOS update on this version? cause i try to hex my bios and there is a tipical message that it can't be run on dos...

    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks in advande =D

    EDITED:

    Btw i found out my own original bios.bak that was in the hard drive and tried that to but still the cooler goes on faster than normal and just sits for hours, any clues?

    Thanks for this post, had a dead Toshiba Equium a100-306 that I managed to recover using the phoenix method 2 and a USB floppy drive (couldn't get it working with a bootable usb key at all) After a seemingly successful bios flash it hung at the bios screen each boot and wouldn't continue or let you into the bios

    Took a few attempts, the key combo was either Fn+f or win+f (can't remember was kinda mashing it) if it starts beeping a triad tone you're in the right area, with a usb that's all it done, but with a floppy usb drive it accessed it and loaded the recovery bios in just fine. Think I'll be using Daz's loader with this laptop :D

    Your notebook, HP Compaq 6530s is in the list. So, it should work. How long did you wait after releasing the "Window Key + B"?

    windows+b From 5 to 8 second

    but laptop shutdown after 2-3 mint

    detail:

    1. format 1GB USB flash with FAT
    2. Create folders structure " Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\Current "
    3. Rename Rom.bin with 68PZD.BIN
    4. Rename efibios.sig with 68PZD.SIG
    5. Copy 68PZD.BIN and 68PZD.SIG to " Current " folder
    6. Remove the Battery
    7. Hold windows+B
    8. Connect the charger
    9. Press Power Button
    10. Release windows+B after 5-8 second

    but
    first 3 time laptop working for 3 second then shutdown.
    after that laptop working for 2-3 mint then shutdown.
