No luck with any of those 3 Methods .. as my Pen Drive's light is not lighting up (but, ... my mouse is also USB and its lights are working fine) tried inserting that in all ports one by one, but it didn't worked (it was FAT formatted, but seems like its not picking up the pen drive at all or whatever .. no display on my on board VGA nor on my GFX card, no beeps or nothing [though if I remove the RAM then it does beeps] :/) ... system is not restarting after I removed the IDE cable from the motherboard ... so, tell me if you have any other suggestions left.

I do have a very old floppy drive not used since .. past 6-7 years probably .. it worked then .. dunno if it works now .. but well .. even if it does .. NOBODY sells a Floppy disks in my area.

ANY help would be appreciated :worthy:... Exams are near and I can't buy a new mobo till March end :/ and without computer I might die LOL !!! :D

Someone at school must have a floppy disk they can give you?? Probably one of the older professors.:wheelchair:

The file will have to be less than the 1.44mb.

    Wish you the best

    hp 4330s bios recovery

    hello,

I flashed bios on my hp 4330s to F.20. It worked without errors. But since then my machine isn't working right. Sometimes can't booting up the system (freezing at windows loading screen). Sometimes can't shut down the OS (win7 64bit) or can't send the machine to sleep because of freezing. My question is simple. Is there any chance of install a previous bios version, for example F.0A or older?
There is a note on the F20 bios: After this BIOS update has been installed, previous BIOS versions cannot be installed.
This is so sweet. F20 is totally screwed up my system.

    Thanks for any help!

The extracted (untouched) bios folder structure looks like this:

    Thanks for the help.
I'm not sure it's possible to downgrade the bios to an older version. but i hope it's possible somehow.

Okay, i'm copied the files to the usb stick. Tried starting the machine with win+b, 4 arrow keys, etc. None of them worked.
The screen is black and the fan is running, the indicator lights are on. but nothing happened after.
When i'm running the dos bios updater with other versions than F20. The updater says "bios update failed."
My notebook is not bricked. it just using the F20 bios, and that causes unexpected hangs, freezes, etc. What i mentioned before.

Lenovo x220 bios update failure...plz help

    hi,
i just wanted to update the bios version via the windows utility, and after I reboot the laptop seems to be dead.
the screen doesn't responds, and only the power light, bluetooth (ect.) turns on for sew milliseconds and then turns off. I cant even see the thinkpad boot logo.

seems like it's flushed my bios and don't put the new one instead.

there is alot of information in this thread, and I didnt understand what should I do?
what methods I need? how I build the USB? sorry for the stupidity, plz someone can guide me more specific to my laptop.

    thanks alot!!!

Does anyone the correct method to attempt a recovery on an HP Pavilion DV6915nr laptop?... or if it has a SPI or JTAG port I can use to re-flash? I do own an EEPROM Programmer if I can gain access to the chip as well... but I'm assuming it's soldered to the board.

Jtag is under the the wireless card I believe on this one. It might have the 2 point cmos reset there as well. It has been a while but that is where I would look first.
