When you create Phoenix Crisys Recovery floppy (Metod 2), you dont need minidos.
Just name your bios to bios.wph and copy it to the floppy, copy autoexec.bat from the rescue folder to the floppy as well.

    My problem.

Use Face Wizard to change the image that starts with the pc

happens that I put a new image
    restart
    and never became operational.

Bone works hard drives, fans, readers, all

but nothing appears on the screen, this simply in black
(Usually that happens when memory is bad but it was good that is fine)

Probe and remove the battery, making clear the CMOS jumper, which put the value even at the start of the item (s Award bios and try to do that from Unn pendrive SanDisk 1GB).

Ah a problem, I do not know what the file is bios ...
because I get off the bios of the page was a gigabyte and exe where permission:

    - A file with extension F14 (Bone depending on the version of the bios of that board, is the extension) (This file made it bios.bin when trying to use the procedure described on page 1)
    - A flash that is supposed to flashea
    - A Autoexec.bat ordering the execution of the two previous ones.

and did not rename in which bios.bin

My motherboard is Gigabyte S-series S4 nvidia 570 SLI chipset
    Technical name: GA-M57SLI-s4

PS: I do not speak English, I speak Spanish, so I apologize if you do not understand what I write

I am not sure the question..what is "bone" to do with bios and MB..

    Do not rename to .bin
The F4 is the extension that flashspi looks for..It should be at the DOS prompt..

    FLASHSPI yourbios.F4

'yourbios' is the name of your bios.....
    it should NOT be yourbios.bin

Useful thread, but unfortunately recovery of BIOS for some boards is not possible without suitable h/w programmer or external service either reprogramming the old chip or supplying new programmed one.

I learned that the hard way after bricking a month old MB (AsRock ALiveNF7G HDready) with official BIOS update. Apparently AsRock has removed recovery portion of BIOS. While using backup MB, I'll keep the AsRock one in case I'll come across another MB with BIOS chip similar enough to try hot flashing.

Next time before I buy a motherboard, I'll check first to be sure the recovery option(s) are available!

Hey, did you tried enough to say it didn't work? I had to do this about 20 times or more to get the exact moment to short the legs. And also check your other hardware connected to MB. Might be not working if cd or hdd is connected as well as any usb sticks. Good luck! My brother just doing that at his home with GA X48-DQ6 without any luck yet but I managed to fix it with this method.

    guys..

    i have abit ax78..

i tried flashing it through bootable dvd, coz i was too lazy to put my floppy drive on again..
i managed to go through dos..
but, i only got blinking message: "Please Wait!" for more than 30 minutes..
then, turn the power off, clear cmos, turn it on again, n my PC was still on..
    i did this twice!
only got blinking message for about 30 minutes!

while i was waiting that time, i pm petar, n s/he replied me to go to this thread, coz he thought my bios' already corrupt..
well, petar, i thought it was..
but 2 times i did as u said:
i did both of them, n nothing's succeded..

n then, i choose to flash it with abit flash menu in windows xp..
turned off all background unnecessary program..
    but what..??
the flashing activity hang at erasing memory block (if i'm not wrong, that's what i read)!

now, my mobo turn into brick!

i read this thread n every web to find out how to recovery my mobo..
    but still no luck...

i have had put the floppy drive again, to try troubleshooting it by myself through this thread's methods..
but it still don't read my floppy!

    how do i fix it?

    i pm u again, petar..
but it seems u don't see it.

i hate to go back to the store..
cause i don't have much money right now..
i bought this mobo in this year.., but i think it'd still cost me to get it repaired..

i really appreciate if someone could help me here..
i wanted to short-circuiting the bios, but the store prevent me to do that, by putting 'date i bought" right on the bios..

so, the best way right now, maybe to go to the store again..
but, like i said.. i don't have money right now, if it cost me..

but, honestly, i doubt they can fix it right away..
i'm afraid they have to send it to abit main distributor to get it repaired..
n it means, i have to pay more, n i have to wait longer!

pls help me here, right away..

i dunno what time is it in ur country right now..
    here is GMT +7 = 3.18 am

i hope i can get help in this forum until 12 pm..
i plan to go to that store around in the morning..

    please...
    anyone...??

    damn!
    so that was my problem..

i did not flash it to unmodded bios before flashing the modded one..

can it still be saved and fix?

i'm sorry for my stupid mistake..
i never thought i should flash it to official bios before flashing the modded one i got here..

so what should i do now?
i'm downloading ur .img right now..

i have to find computer with floppy drive to create the floppy..
then i put the floppy into my floppy drive, right?
then just waiting, or should i press something on my keyboard?

thx a lot for ur help, petar..

p.s.: u already put ax78 original bios in that floppy image, right? that "bios.bin"?
i created the floppy last night, in my friend's pc with my floppy drive, but i was deleting "IO.SYS" coz u didn't mentioned that file in ur first post.. i thought that .sys shouldn't be in it..

n what if i just copy paste the content on that .img into floppy? will it still be bootable? coz i the only option to create that is in my friend's PC (Pentium 2 + 64 MB RAM, so slow!)
or i do have to use ultraISO to write it into floppy diskette?

what if i just create the floppy through format as "create an ms-dos startup disk" in windows xp, then delete all files except: COMMAND.COM + IO.SYS + MSDOS.SYS n then put ur files: AUTOEXEC.BAT + AWDFLASH.EXE + BIOS.BIN ?

    pls gimme ur feedback..
    thx again..

    petar..
i made the floppy using ultraISO in my neighbour's PC.
    n..
i'm doing as u adviced me to do right now..

i unplugged all hard drive, only plugging floppy drive.

the floppy drive didn't show activity, the light's off..

but the AWARD POST Code shows FF, which means: Boot Attempt (INT 19h) ---> according to mobo's manual book (abit AX78)

what do i do now to make it read my floopy?
i tried Ctrl + Home, but nothing happened..

    hope u read this..
