    Hi,

    I've flashed my Giada N20 (tomshardware.com/reviews/slim-n20-mini-top-zbox,2789-2.html) with a Zotac Zbox ION2-D525 based bios, thinking that it would be compatible and make my Giada better SATA control but I was wrong of course. In fact, I didn't know about this site and its great explanations about BIOS.

    So, as a result, my Giada is bricked and shows these three sequences and than freeze :
    1. pokit.org/get/?c5029c97da9eb0223fa1db0357e42900.jpg
    2. pokit.org/get/?a1b532ec7a1dc68b9d8ca02bef76dd7c.jpg
    3. pokit.org/get/?308452526fb17cc8b4561c5153d0f1c0.jpg

    I've tried of course boot-block method of recovery with a usb flash and with a cd drive but never keyboards keys seemed to make my mobo boot react in any way, CTRL + HOME or other combinations just seemed to do nothing, just like the keyboard could send any signal at all.

    Then, I opened my Giada and tried to identify the BIOS chip but without success. Here is my mobo if someone could recognize its BIOS chip so that it could be reprogrammed :
    1. img259.imageshack.us/img259/6655/mobo1a.jpg

    2. img35.imageshack.us/img35/6673/mobo2xn.jpg

    Also, if it could bring some further informations of what right recovery procedure to apply, here I've put my bios back-up before flashing and the bad bios which provoked the brick :
    box.com/s/bcayno6fsvjm3x8rffke

    If someone can guide me, I ll be very glad :spoton:

    Thanks by advance. Cheers

    NB : I was forced to remove links to be able to post as this is my first post. Please accept my apologies for that inconvenience (must add http(s) and www at the beginning of each link). Also, I apologize for my english (I am french).

    Thanks Tito for your fast involvement :shake:

    Well, like I said, unfortunataly no key seem to be recognized at any stage. I've tried many keys and combinations : F1, F2, F11, Ctrl+F1, etc:help2:

    its not encrypted so no need for phoenixtool to decrypt or .sig
    simply find out which of these is your board id

    PlatformName=3059
    PlatformName2=3060
    PlatformName3=3061
    PlatformName4=3062
    PlatformName5=3063
    PlatformName6=3064

    then name the file 3059F18.fd to your board id .. example 3060.fd and so.. also try .bin .. and might have to put in folder Hewlett-Packard\Bios\Current

    Hi, I have a HP Pavillion G4 1037TU notebook. With the HP support assistant it tried to update my BIOS. I didn't notice it and thought it was a virus, then i took out the battery. Then it didn't boot up, only a black screen. Caps lock LED blinks 3 times saying there is a memory problem, but i checked both the memory cards with another notebook and they are working fine. I tried many methods but nothing happen.
    Please help me.

    thats the name of the file.

    holdon it wont work by just copying file to usb. u have to make USB EFI filesystem with
    sp52407.exe
    after u make this USB put the Decrypted file (from phoenix mod tool) renamed to whatever it says under laptop but needs a 0 in front like 01666.bin also the .sig file same name

    now take your HDD, Battery and Power cord out.
    plug in USB and hold WIN and B keys (WIN key is the little logo of windows next to Alt key) while u plugin power cord. still holding the keys pres the power (dont hold the power key only Win B for another 20 seconds or so)
    now it should be recovering.. however if it doesnt recover.. it might have a chipset solder issue and might need an expert to reflow it.. hope he dont need to reball it.

    on these newer models the boards are so thin.. when u try it it will warp and pushes solder balls that just melted against chip.. now its a splatter mess and u need reballing

    Hello everyone, i need your help. I try to recover bios on Acer 5560G but with no results. I tried many file names (also many variations of BIOS.fd name), phoenix tool don't show any name after opening bios file, only showing info about pubkey and mareker (2.1). To recovery i'm using Kingston DataTravel 1GB pendrive (formatted in FAT). When i use combination of fn+esc+power button, usb stick seems to bee read ( there are a few blinks of light on the beginning).

    Bios file name is: JE50109.bin (Insyde bios) and it can be downloaded from acer website (i can't post links).

    I will be very grateful for your help.

    I found this information: "Aspire 5560G have Phoenix SecureCore Tiano BIOS. It's UEFI" - so it is possible to recovery?
