BIOS Reset for HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G3

    Hi Folks,

    I am new to this - I have been sold the above laptop - but the BIOS is in 'secured' mode
    In order to unsecure the BIOS to install my desire OS, I need an admin password

    The person i bought this from does not recall password

    HP Support no longer create/distribute SMC.bin files to assist in this area

    Is there anyone capable of helping in creating the required SMC.bin ?

    i would buy ezp2019 cheap $8 amazon/ebay
    install it with driver signature enforcement off (1 time.. can re enable after installed)
    learn how to take chip off with hot air and solder it to SOP8 adapter to dip8 for programmer.
    now backup.bin and verify then send to me to fix. or try someones .bin
