I am trying to unbrick a Dell XPS 13 L322x. I have uploaded here a .rar archive of the Dell .exe updater for the BIOS in the version whcih shipped with the laptop. The various instructions all instruct me to extracted the .bin or .rom or .wph file from the . exe, and then to flash that to the laptop. The problem is that when i run this exe (or any of the other versions from the Dell support page), what I get is a .cap file. Do I just go with the .cap file and flash that? Or do I need to process the .cap file to get one of the other formats, and flash only one of those. The various forums seem to make it very clear tthat I need a .bin, .rom. or .wph file. Some will mention using a .cap file for upgrading, but not for recovery.. Thanks for any infomration you can give about wheher i can use the .cap file as is, or transform it in some way beforei flash it Scott
