    Hello I'm trying to use DMIEdit/AMIDEWIN to edit my baseboard serial for my motherboard. My motherboard is a ASUS z390-A PRIME, When I try to change the serial and restart my PC it reverts my original serial back. Any idea why?

    Hi all, im after SCEWIN for Aptio IV ( 4) , ive used SCEWIN version 2 gives me error 4 and version 5 doesn't work, not for my platform, guessing its for Aptio v. The aim is to modify the " restore default values " as this sets a supervisor password each time and resets default values, i got the password from the manufacture so thats not the issue, the password is a pain and not an easy to remember, so i have written it down. I have removed the password in the bios by setting it to NULL after putting the correct one in, the act of setting default values sets the manufacture one, even if i change it. This is in a laptop not desktop BTW.
