    Hello... I was wondering what pins do I short out to reset the bios password.I lost my BIOS password.
    BIOS Winbond 25032BVSIG. There are 8 pins on the chip.
    I hope you all can help me.

    pin 1- /cs pin 5-DI
    pin 2-DO pin 6-CLK
    pin 3-/wp pin 7-/hold
    pin 4-Gnd pin 8-VCC

    I have just been through a learning curve with this very same chip, I the only thing I see being accomplished by shorting 2 pins on this chip, while it's attached to the board and powered, is either killing the chip or something on the board. Systems these days are nothing like the chump machines we played with 5 years ago.
