I would get this one in the nvidia mobile section: Xtreme-G 190.62m Win7/Vista64 Description: Check Forum For Full Product Support Version: Filesize: 44.74 MB Added on: 06-Dec-2009 Downloads: 3949 Rating: 7.0 (3 Votes) HomePage | Rate Resource | Details It is the latest version that TweakForce has so it should work the best.
No, i use NOD32 version.4.0.474.0 and latest Comodo Firewall. Think it's the best combination out there...
That should not be your issue. I am still pretty convinced that it is either a driver issue or a video hardware issue dude.
So do i think. That Kaspersky thing is out of line ;-))). I try this tomorrow and come back with info. Thank's for all the help so far and i think sam3971 have the best idea for this so far...
I have had 3 HP DV series laptops from friends to repair with similar problems...... It seems that the solder they use on the graphics chip degrades because of the heat!!!! If you search on google you will see LOADS of people with the same problem starting with this and ending up with just a black screen!! If you download the latest BIOS..... it WILL stop it overheating....well quite so much.... only because they have underclocked everything!!!! If its still under 2 years old i would contact HP they may offer an extended warranty!! Hope that helps in some way!
You might be right man, since the new install of that graficdriver didn't do. But you see, there is NO new Bios upgrade for this model on HPs site. And i have flashed the one i had with new i got from here with slic 2.1. This Computer is bought 27/5-2008 and costed to much, 1290 Euro... If you have any more concret ideas PLEASE let me know. THX...
Hey dude, I am not sure where to get 8600M GS drivers because I cannot even get one from nvidia's website. If you can somehow find the 176 series drivers or older that support Vista x32 install that and see what happens. It could be something similar to what happened to me but if you can find the older drivers it might fix your issue.
Hope this helps i had this happen to my old dell laptop with a 7900gtx in it, basically the vid card fried itself at some point or the other....it is NOT a driver issue. i say this because u are able to get into safe mode which uses a generic 2D driver, when you boot into windows, the 3D driver are activated along with the damaged part of the card. it is a rather easy fix.....if u have no other options and buying anything new is out of the question--- READ then decide. hardforum DOT com/showthread.php?t=1421792
I have to agree wiht you most likely. I was just saying that if he was fortunate like me and it was really only caused my a certain thing(PhysX) then removing the physx part may help him. It is really hard to tell for sure though.
Could be this because my screen had also red vertical lines through the screen...my card had the same symptoms
