Maybe, the oldest i have tried now is "GeForce_177.98_WinVista_32bit". I have not found any older version. So if anyone have a sourse, please give me the link to try out...
But for now i have been in normal mode for about 4-5 hours with no trouble at all. It gives problem when i try something like watching tv or something heavy on the grafic. Also when the computer starts to feel very warm this red lines and screen going crazy comes up...
Ok, i will try that Nvidia System Tools. Also i see that sometimes windows manage to reset the Nvidia driver itself before it crashes. You know the small text bubble coming up in the right lower corner on the screen.
If you cannot run the system monitors try just cranking the fan speed up to 90% in the control panal under "Performance" section. Tell me what it say's for the fan speed prior to overriding it. Then perform the computer normally after that because if it still locks up when having the fan cranked up means other things. It may help though.
How many partitions do you have on your Hard Disk. If you have more than 4 partition on single hard disk then you might be getting BSOD. it was the case for me.
Yes that is true but the file associated with his BSOD is directly related to the Nvidia Display Drivers. I highly doubt that having more then 4 partitions will create a vid card driver BSOD.
There is an updated bios on MDL. Of course there isn't one at HP. They stop support after 90 days or something. After that your on your own for updated drivers...
It's the same nvidia card that i have and that's the hole problem for you also. But PLEASE, why a new Thread on the sam subject???
Now also in "SAFE MODE" i get the screen with colored stripes horisontal. Called HP today and got a service number. they promised to call back from repair service in few days, so let's see what they have to say. But the guy i spoke to told me that either the grafic card have to be replaced or even the whole motherboard. They know about this problem. And also i read on net that nvida have paid HP something like 200 Milion $$$ for this trouble. SO SIIICK...
Bcos i was paniced didnt know what to do .. And did u solved this problem and thought ur problem was diffrent saw later u got same specs
you seem to have the absolut same trouble and it's the grafic card that have got overheated. this is a known problem to this card. Try get help from your support or do the "OVEN" trick.
