Hello every one.. new to this forum I wish to create a system boot CD that works on windows XP, Vista and 7. I am suspecting bad sectors have partially corrupted a HDD, and I need to get in with some sort of HDD diagnostic tool. Can anyone please give me a pointer as to where I can get a free trusted download?? thanks in advance

For me don't waste to build boot CD, if you want take nero and google to know how For Vista and Win7 it 's a DVD so if you have an old Bios on the MB you 'll need additional Disk file on floppy or Key to boot on For me Try first a simple prog : Partiton Recovery 3 then you can try Undelete for losted files.
Are you kidding? How can you create a system boot CD that works on 3 OS? I would suggest you just simply dl 3 OS .iso files and burn with Nero 9, maybe in total XP[~0.6GB] / Vista[~2.5GB] / 7[~2.3GB] = 1CD / 1DVD / 1DVD You could either reinstall 3 OS or rescue your system using the 3 OS disks. I used to do this and build another DVD storing the sw setups (.exe). (are you serious? you still need vista? This is my order of preferences: 1. XP + SP3 (extreme light) 2. 7 3. Chromium os (waiting for free Chrome OS) 4. maybe Snow Leopard (I haven't tried it before, but I like the screenshots) 5. Vista?? 6. Solaris / Linux)
What are you talking about he wants a bootable disk or cd to to run a hd diagnostics program hdd regenerator can make bootable floppy cd or usb device when it boots it is independant of OS system
