Is this possible? My laptop only has USB 3.0 (no USB 2.0 ports) and the live pen drive I made stops loading with an error: stdin: Invalid argument. Google indicates that this is because I'm booting from a pen drive connected to a USB 3.0 port.

Is this true? If so, any workaround? Do you know of any live distro that will work?

    My laptop is a Clevo P957HR - i7 7700, 16 GB RAM, GTX1070MaxQ, HM175 chipset.

There is a known problem with USB3 wherein either it, or USB2 can be active and there is also a fix, which I have used with full success.
I just tried to find that info to share with you & didn't succeed - sorry !!
(If I can find it I'll post it here when I do.)
