Bought Office Standard, but not able to install . HELP!

    Hi..
    Previously, I was using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

    It was trial edition. Now, I have bought Home Basic x86 and Office Standard x86.

    So, installed Home Basic just now.

    Now, when Im trying to install Office from its exe file, it starts with a installer popup of 1 sec and then nothing happens.

    Im going crazy with this stupid Microsoft products.

    Spend around 800$ for the 4 licenses and now Im stuck.

    Need urgent help!!!!

    Are you installing from the dvd? Try copying the files over to the hard drive, then run the setup from there.

    you do realize that you can call M$ customer support since you spent $800 !

    I had a similar situation with the Office 2010 trial version. After starting the installation, nothing happened for about one minute then the installation began. But since it was the trial version, which I later uninstalled, I let it pass. If I'd spent $800 I'd have been on the phone to Microsoft immediately.
