Damn I hope so too if worst comes to worst I might have to completely uninstall windows, I have no clue why this is suddenly happening.
You didnt post the information you were asked for . Boot it with a usb stick and put a back up in ........... ( Or reinstall ) ......... wich takes a few minutes ............ and then you know if it still doesnt work your computer is f**ked . You havent got a back up ? ............ Then you just learnt a valuable lesson .
My friend faced a very similar issue, keystrokes of a perfectly fine keyboard wouldn't register in certain windows UI fields. Tried many things but in the end only a reinstall fixed the issue.
