Since using W10 Webfonts are broken,

Firefox Web Console is full of
downloadable font: not usable by platform (font-family: "FontAwesome" ...............

Internet Explorer Web Console is full of
    CSS3111: @font-face encountered unknown error

Instead of the symbols or icons, a rectangle with very small numbers and letters (e.g. F0D7) is shown, it's quite annoying on many webpages, as you don't know what will happen by clicking on this chinese looking symbol. Furthermore, same happens on the GUI of firefox addons uMatrix and uBlock, rectangles with numers and letters.

Seems as if downloadable fonts are restricted / forbidden under Windows 10?

    Anybody else experiencing this?

I finally found the solution, you must have "WindowsFirewall" service running.

That was not the case with lovely Windows7.

If somebody knowing all that web stuff could explain why under Windows10 you need a firewall service to display webfonts in Iexplorer or Firefox, I'd love to know exactly why.... Google Chrome is reported display correctly even w/o firewall btw...
