I Think it Was not a good idea merge my 1803 help request with the Windows 10 bug thread. Why not to' do a Windows 10 1803 bugs group?
Nice summary. I encountered this on three separate clean installations. I've gone back to LTSB - I simply can't be bothered with the UI instability.
apart from the windows directory in c: there is only a windows10upgrade directory, no windows.old at all. but anyway how can I force windows 10 to install older drivers? I got the audio driver from a plain installation that I just did on an old hard disk, but when I point the update driver to the location where I have these old drivers, it says that the proper updated driver is already installed.
BIG BUG with Windows Defender. OS 17134.137 Pro x64 en-us from original ISO image. If I enable the “Block at First Sight” feature in Group Policy, the computer starts hanging and falls into the blue screen. Who also?
Do you believe LTSB is more stable than the Pro? Just a query! If yes, I would opt for LTSB instead of the Pro.
Sorry for the late reply. I didn't check this thread due to no reply from the experts. I only disabled MS Edge to run in the background as it consumed a lot of my bandwidth some unwanted windows built in apps thru powershell like the games, people, feedback hub, tips mail and few others.
Glad you solved it. Forgot to update here. My solution: I had blocked TokenBroker service Enabled it and no issues since. This was on an ultrabook running i7-8650u
I've no skill to remove chips from motherboard... but at least now I know why can't update to later Win 10 build... Thanks IsuIsu !
A hot air gun is required to remove the chip. In fact, as long as a resistor or capacitor is easy to removed and the power supply to the chip is broken, the problem is solved. Maybe starting from the next version, win10 can be installed again on the 6292. the chip named 'TI TSB43AB23' ,You can search along its pins, directly connected capacitors or resistors, and boldly remove them. Turning off only this chip, things may be solved. ENE CB-1410BF, maybe a flat-blade screwdriver can be pulled down with a little force, be careful not to damage the board. Two chips, remove any one, can solve the problem. I don't want to open the notebook again, then I removed them all at one time . Maybe editing the BIOS DMI can also turn off a chip, I didn't find the right tool. OR Ask a professional maintenance person for help.
I installed clean Windows 10 x64 17134.1, but Windows Update not showing any updates for new builds. It automaticaly installs all updates for Office, Defender, Flash Player, Driver Updates, Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool and others. Windows Update Troobleshooter doesn't show any errors but notify that "There are pending updates for this computer". DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and sfc /scannow show no errors. Any ideas? wlidsvc service was the problem. Get-Service wlidsvc | Set-Service -StartupType Manual -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue Get-Service wlidsvc | Start-Service -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
Is there some administrative issue with Windows 10 1803 or did this 37 year Windows 10 activator have something to do with that? I'm having problems with software giving me errors, Chrome not running right unless I Run As Administrator, can't even change the wallpaper. I can access a NAS but some programs such as Plex can't see it when before a Windows reinstall (maybe it was 1803, but that was KMSPico) it was working fine. Some of these issues are fixed by installing/running as administrator, but others, like trying to give full access to drives and stuff don't work (no errors, just reverts back to everything unchecked).
