KB4103721, and the Flash Update both are synced and approved in WSUS but 1803 client machines don't detect them as needed.
Same problem here, reverted to 1709 Note that first time after upgrade, the login screen worked but was redirecting me back to the login screen again everytime I enter my password and hit enter After restart, it stucked at the loading circle on a black screen with no disk usage and mouse was showing, cannot get past it to the login screen Any help ?!!
Can I ask how old both of your machines are for what I been reading as MS upgrade progresses in win10 it likes old hardware less and less all the time.
Happened to me last night...wasn't happy as i am in the middle of a work deadline. I managed to resolve it by following instructions i found in a post i found. Cant add the link as this is my first post but the instructions are as follows; "ON the page before the login screen, where you hit space to get login screen to appear, click on the power button in bottom right of screen while holding down shift key, click restart PC this should load a blue menu see if we can get to safe mode: choose troubleshoot choose advanced choose start up options hit the restart button choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it. Pc will restart and load safe mode right click start button choose powershell (admin) type SFC /scannow and press enter once its completed, type this command into same window: Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth and press enter" After rebooting i could log in, I hope it works for you also.
Here is a question if anyone can help. I tried to upgrade my office laptop to 1803. It has Symantec Endpoint protection on it and setup said it's not compatible. I completely removed it and used Symantec's NEWEST Cleanwipe tool (claims to completely remove every bit)... Also checked folders and registry settings, trust me it's gone. When I tried to upgrade again, it still shows it's installed 3X. Where is it finding this information that it's installed? Trust me, there is nothing left of it... Any idea ?
I did sfc scan but not the "Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth" I will note this and when it happens the next time, I will try. Thanks! edit: if your PC is your critical workstation, make sure you have system restore turned on. and when this kind of situations happen, simple, just revert back without losing anything.
Installed 17134.48 in my laptop, and now I'm having the same issue I had in another machine after installing 17134.5: after rebooting, the system gets stuck in a black screen with spinning circle. Thankfully, booting into Safe Mode and disabling/uninstalling Intel HD Graphics drivers fixes this, but the update installation is reverted. Not only me, but there are several reports of this issue on Ten Forums thread about 17134.48 update. Had to disable Windows Update in this laptop till MS releases a fixed CU.
Update from Microsoft on Blocked Intel SSD's “We are working with OEM partners and Intel to identify and block devices with Intel SSD 600p Series or Intel SSD Pro 6000p Series from installing the April 2018 Update. If you have encountered this issue, follow the steps to reinstall the previous operating system (Windows 10, version 1709), and wait for the resolution before attempting to install the April 2018 Update again,”
Not a serious bug but windows updates advanced options on several machines is glitching out. In particular the "Automatically download updates" sometimes refuses to turn on (instantly switches back to off) and sometimes turns itself off randomly if I re-open the menu. It also sometimes just starts working correctly again. One PC seems to have fixed itself, one PC refuses to turn this option on at all and one randomly turns itself off. 2 of these PCs have a fresh format and install from media creation tool so this cannot be an upgrade install bug.
Yes Rollback is straight from Microsoft. There is currently no Work a round to fix problem with Intel SSD's.
