    There's a bug in Windows 7 SP1, where your USB mouse freezes up, when you get out of sleep or hibernate mode and you have to restart the computer to use the USB mouse again.

    I do not think it is a bug; maybe a busta in Windows. I do not use hybernation but if I did I would be sure that putting the devices to sleep to save power is disabled in device manager.
    Sounds like buggy hardware and/or configuration(s).
