I have also problem with synaptics driver my HP DV6 laptop freezes complete after installing this driver ! Big problem is that you have no option to disable that update. After an installing its coming back . I am going back to win7 before i get crazy with !
Can no longer open Settings app. I have to Restart my computer to get Settings app to open again. Then in a while it stops opening. Very frustrating.
Given that there seems to be no improvement for desktop users, and it breaks stuff, I will not bother with this release. Undeed, I may just stay with 49 until we get an rtm.
seems like the Settings app closed but process didn't end. Open Task Manager, scroll down and look for 'Settings' and click End Task
Has anyone tried the disk cleanup tool in build 10061? Don't see any sign of system compression, as admin or not. I always saw this option in the other builds. Clean install btw.
Upgrade bug: Scheduled Task Library's 3rd-party items are all hidden (not deleted). Sure would be nice if one of us can figure out how to unhide them. Most of them do continue to run, however. You can see everything here to determine what you're not seeing in Scheduled Tasks: %systemroot%\System32\Tasks.
is not a corruption is a bug of x86 10061 builds, that cause Start Menu to no open items properly and Action Center to no open Settings.
have not seen that issue in my box....i think that is related to upgrade....not if u do a clean install.
It's a little unclear what issue you mean, but if it's the one where the Start Menu, things within it, or anything Metro, really, either doesn't open or does open but closes within 1 second, I've seen two explanations. One is that you ever had an account that used parental controls (even if it's no longer enabled). The other--and this is the one I'm hitting--is caused by memory usage, which you can keep an eye on with Task Manager. If I exceed about 71% or 72% usage, all of the above starts to happen. If I drop below, everything is back to normal.... Edit: I do not have a dedicated graphics card in the above system. On a nearly identical system in which I do, I'm unable to reproduce the issue.
