I noticed a bug with Firefox but might not be a issue specifically with Firefox. When Options->Advanced->"Use hardware acceleration when available" is enabled (which it is by default), the window will have display issues or glitch. Example: I think this is related to Direct2D. GPU used is Geforce 8400M GS. Latest drivers and ones that come with Windows 8 do the same. Another bug I noticed is when I click eject on a drive that is a mounted ISO (is this how you unmount a cd-image?). It causes my network drives to temporary disappear (only visually on that window). Refreshing the window makes them show up again.
To see which programs are suspended click on the task manager, view, start values and show suspended status
Have peculiar problem with all 3 browsers,opera,Mozilla,IE9 --if i using VS2010sp1 express and use a browser to search for some source code the whole system freezes and screen goes blank. Laptop must be restarted, using power button. Update: Was not just programs mentioned; but could be any program or windows explorer when opening and closing. However i noticed an update for nvidia drivers and installed that and since problem is gone.
I installed Office 2010 but unable to get any of the updates. That is a big surprise. I am especially concerned about the updates that plug the security vulnerabilities. I'm really surprised that Microsoft allowed this build of Windows 8 to be released without the capability of updating Office.
When installing some items using compatibility mode, multiple campat instances will appear on task bar (4 while install my web cam drivers). After installation, two instances remained on the taskbar until the process in the systray was closed.
1. Pinball FX2 / Any game 2. The game is able to load, but has very low fps 3. Check device manager first, you'll see that microsoft driver is installed in display adapter, look for your video card's driver made by its manufacturer (win7 driver will do), collapse the display adapters in device manager, update the driver, browse for the driver from manufacturer, you may or may not restart.
BSOD in restart session(Windows 8. Windows 8 Server): The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000133 (0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000784, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000). STOP 0x00000133: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION The problem also occurs in many people. The problem exists when you install the Windows 8. Any fix for this?
Error 651 on my pppoe connection (modem has reported an error, doesnt have a valid ip config… ), although the wifi is working fine. Any fix for this?
I have very strange problems. It doesn't want to open the Sound Mixer, UAC, Task Manager, IE, Windows Defender, change the lockscreen background... I can run some of them with "run as administrator" Anyone knows how to fix it ?
Unless this was broken then fixed in an earlier build this isn't a "regression". It's likely that setting will go away. EDIT: I re-signed AMD's display drivers a few days ago, stripping the WHQL signature. I didn't have any issues installing these drivers, so can you provide more details?
video/music is very annoying with its restriction in America. If I could get their location I could probably fix it o.0
