Since last night my laptop was try to update to the new build and couldn't. I running 10036, updated from 9926 and downloaded last night via Windows Update the new build. That was going well. The update started and were go to 3% and stacked there. So I was let them run over night to see it will finish or not. Unfortunately it wasn't and I had to hard-reboot the laptop which than finally reverted back to 10036 and gave the messages that the machine couldn't be updated. May the problem were that I had the Main HDD in laptop at the same time. I use instead of DVD Drive and HDD Case for an 2. HDD which has the Windows 10 TP on it and use the BIOS Boot Manager for to chose to either boot from Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 TP an start of the Laptop. So. I removed the Main-HDD and started the Update from 10036 again which is downloading the ESD at this moment. Will see it could this time finish with Update, and if not, I'll run to revert back to 9926 which I've an image from and try the update from that. That's just to see that the problem is Hardware or Software related.
I couldn't get it to update from 10036 on both my Laptop and PC, but my other PC updated just fine from 9926
I was running 9926 and updated to 10036 when it leaked out, I run the update and went to sleep. Now I am on 10041 Creating my first ever ESD to ISO atm Feeling like a murphy-78 already!
SAme problem here, Get to 44% applying setting to PC and it dumps. even coverted to ISO and ran it from desktop. Sam results
unfortunately I haven't been able to download this all day. I am running Win 10 tech preview 9926 and on the Fast Ring, and on both laptops I am testing this on, neither says the update is available.

Second try to update from 10036 to 10041 worked well. May it were the Main HDD which triggered the fail of install the first time because after removing it from Laptop, installation just went well with Zero problems. That was the first time ever I had while updating and running Windows OS to an newer build that it was get problem to do so because of an 2. OS on and 2. HDD! That show once more that nothing should be counted as permanent, it didn't!
Serious issue with 10041 release, I cannot change or upgrade drivers. Having searched forums; I found that a number of people are having similar issues. I have two identical on board network cards reporting different driver versions. I tried Automatic updates, it went through the download and frozen on installation. After killing few services, the installation succeeded. Upgrades using available files (not Automatic Update) are still failing, I cannot disable and enable devices! It looks like some folders are write protected or owned by a different user. Update 1: After Removing .NET 3.5, I can enable and disable devices, but installing drivers still fails. Update 2: I had to remove Windows 10 (Windows, Users, Program Files and /x86, Program Data, Recovery and Back up folders, using "Linux" (as much as I can) then rebooted into different windows, fixed disk errors and took ownership of was not removed and removed them. Installed Fresh Windows 10 10041 and all other the programs. All seems well now.
