For the record, I tried using my country no. (Trinidad) and there was a woman Robit, but the same problem! It was in fact my cordless that was farting around, it probably was not allowing the DTMF tone go thru properly.
No, It worked using the US number and I am in Trinidad... Anyways, I am now using 7989 as my primary OS on my Sony VAIO VGN-NR220E, will post my findings as I go along! Thank you!
Is there any other way to activate this version, I don't want to ruin my genuine Windows 7 serial I paid 429$ for this.
Yup, I remember testing Windows XP a long time ago before it was officially released, then I got some early copy of Windows Vista too.
The TechBeta testers got a free RTM copy of Vista & Windows 7 if they submitted any bugs @ Connect duting the betas. Hopefully MS will have a TechBeta for Windows 8 too.
Wendy was our contact. After the Win7 TechBeta a survey was requested to be answered & it had 1 question asking if we wanted to be in the next one. Origonally I got in (XP x64 beta > Vista) by doing a good bug finding & submitting job.
What is Wendy's last name? Do you have all the contact info? Please PM me if you don't want to post them here. Thanks.
OP, sorry about the thread Hi-jack She may not be there anymore. I cannot find last name or contact info, not sure I ever had it. IMO one has to earn a invite, in the next CTP; download it from Connect, file good bug reports, answer the surveys & maybe you'll be lucky for the next TechBeta beta.
