^^ Exactly. Plus we'd need a full leak, not just one file. We can't "make new DLLs" (for Windows 8 that is) which has become a popular notion in this thread of late. The DLLs that were coded by Microsoft are specific to the dependencies that either use them or that the DLL uses. DLLs are coded by developers as "libraries" that have functions in them which can often be reused. Imagine this: a bridge is made out of sticks, but then you make the pillars out of sand. It doesn't work, the same way a dummy DLL wouldn't work.
actually the thing is , as said by canouna... 7989 has limited dependencies on dll's for immersive ui, etc. the resources also have to copied for it to work. noticed that the W8 shown at D9 conference was made after this build?
yes 270.61 do work quite perfectly on any given windows 8 build but as seen, my windows 8 automatically downloaded the 270.45 driver and installed it via Windows Update. no problems, no issues at all
The fully functional beta is just about 2 months away, so be a little more patient. canouna's source is family, a very un-noticed minor slip might mean big trouble. Wait for someone who leaks at their own consent, or the coming beta.
IME is working fine here. Loaded English (International), Chinese, Korean, and Danish. Japanese wasn't working for me for whatever reason. I really like the new language switcher though.
img10.imageshack.us/img10/4977/crashex.jpg my firefox nightly build 7 keeps crashing on start how do i fix this? i enabled windows net framework 3.5 and 4..
This build contains drivers for USB 3.0 (xHCI) It installed the drivers for my USB3 by default. I had to install these drivers (from the mobo dvd) in previous builds
[7989] Disable UAC/Run as Administrator? On every copy of Win7 (and in 7955), I always disabled UAC, via user control center, and dragging the UAC slider to the bottom. On 7989, I can slide the slider to the bottom, but it still seems like UAC is enabled. For instance, if I open the Run dialog, it doesn't say that the task will be ran with administrative rights, Xfire complains on start that some games need Elevated Rights, and when opening Command Prompt via start menu, it's not elevated either. I know I could use the administrator account, but I would really rather to use my (already set up) profile. Surely there must be a way to "fix" UAC?
Same thing happend to my computer, to get it back uninstall graphics drivers and reinstall latest drivers through update if possible
just installed 7989 on vbox looks like aero standard with DWM working fin without nvidia drivers etc also. fresh boot and it has all the things enabled
