I've noticed that since 7989 (I guess) it isn't possible anymore to pin Internet Explorer websites to the taskbar. Yes, you can drag a tab to the taskbar and it pins itself. But as soon as you close the website the pinning thing is gone. Anyone else experiencing this?
Why are so many people here concerned about the WEI rating? Not like it means a whole lot anyway... Some seem to have forgotten that this is a Pre-release Operating System which is still far from any signs of beta, never mind RTM. Obviously things such as application compatibility, hardware devices compatibility and general performance aren't going to be up to scratch yet. If you are that worried about it then go back to Windows 7. Oh, and just for the record since we are all going on about WEI. Laptop on Windows 7 SP1 x64 WEI: CPU: 6.6 RAM: 5.9 Aero: 5.0 Gaming: 6.0 HDD: 7.1 Laptop WEI on 7989 x64: CPU: 6.7 RAM: 5.9 Aero: 4.9 Gaming: 5.7 HDD: 7.1 My desktops scores remain unchanged from Windows 7. Am I bothered? No
Maybe that was posted here already, but: If you want to get rid from Media Servers shortcut in My Computer in 7989, delete this key: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\My Computer\NameSpace\{289AF617-1CC3-42A6-926C-E6A863F0E3BA}
earlier i ran regedit as administrator..now i took ownership of that particular key and got rid of that key..thanks mate
So, someone posted it earlier but got deleted, but is this real, it certainly doesn't look like a fake (and it's from June 11 if the date's right.) h t tp://img39.imageshack.us/img39/5287/screen507f.jpg
