Printing works fine on my Canon Pixma MX850 which is network shared through my Storage Server. Edit; after printing the printer icon stays in the tray saying I have a pending doc, but there's nothing in the queue when I click on it. It goes away after restarting.
Starts crashing on me too, right after installing "Internet TV", not that I ever use Media Center, just checked it out cause you mentioned it.
I'd like to ask if anyone got Windows Live Writer 2011 working? I can seem to run most apps from WL Essentials except Live Writer. Nothing happens when I click on it.
Did you just run it or try any compatibility modes? I am installing all of live essentials now to test it. Edit; Can't get Live Writer to run either, but Messenger still works .I like to run Messenger in Vista compatibility mode so it goes to the tray rather than the taskbar.
H Hey guys and girls Is directX already supported? im talking about gaming, anyone tested any game? GPU drivers?
Had this pop up on me: Seems fine when I checked it through Action Center though Maybe it lost connection to the shared folder for a while cause the error went away now
guys, are any of you facing problems in user account control? I made it as low as possible and yet I still have to give rights and etc.. o.0
I wonder what hybrid boot does to 'reduce boot up times' after a shutdown but not after a restart. Also seems that my laptop completely powers down when going to sleep, takes way longer to resume than it did in Win 7 default sleep behaviour. I think MS is over-complicating all the power management with all these new options; sleep, hybrid sleep, hybernation.. etc
hxxp://xxx.windows8hacks.com/category/windows-8-features/hybrid-boot but my version does not have this option. or is it only build 7850 it applies to?
I just did a few test restarts and with Hybrid Boot disabled it restarts much faster and more reliable. Boot up times from shutdown or restart are identical with either option, but it used to take a long time to log off and get to the point where it actually could restart. This is an option MS definitely has to work on, unless it's caused by drivers, but it seems more like it's having a hard time stopping some service(s).
