What happened with my "reply with quote" on #742?

It is definitely confusing, I tried it several times and it just plain sucks, had the same happen on some linux themes. Too much transparency (full DWM, HideBlur or whatever) is just not good when you have a lot of open windows.

looks like you accidentally typed [/QUOT instead of
    Code:
    [/QUOTE]

Now I see that at the end of the quote, thanks.

I don't like the HideBlur feature at all. I have many windows open at a time and I also find it very distracting with the windows beneath showing thru. Is there a way to adjust the transparency of the Blur. Just yesterday I was looking to disable that feature. Is there an easy way to do that.

Go to system > advanced system settings > advanced > settings > visual effects, uncheck transparent glass...

No you can not, "Blur" is a hardcoded DirectX Shader. If you mean that. So you can not adjust how 'effective' the Blur effect is, just normal Transparency since you can do it... since eh... yeah right Vista.

Thanks to all the suggestions for the Blur. I don't want to turn off the transparent glass. I ran the red pill again to disable the blur. It would be nice if there was an option for the amount of Blur you could choose.

    7989 Start Orbs

Anyone successfully changed their start orb in build 7989? I get a black screen and have to use the task manager to open any apps after replacing the files in explorer.exe:confused:.

ATI 11.6 drivers working fine with CCC working fine. But first you must enable .net framework 3.5.1 under Windows features in control panel.

7989 with zigzagging desktop icons... Help!

I have installed 7989 but the desktop icons don't look good to me... The edges are zigzagging, as you can see in the attachment.

I'm using ATI Radeon HD 5730. Catalyst 11.6 is installed and CCC is fully functional. So... Anyone knows why the icons look so odd?
    Help is much appreciated~~

Your video is in High color mode, switch to True color in Screen resolution, Advanced settings, List all modes, pick a True color setting, click in OK.

Go to system > advanced system settings > advanced > settings > visual effects, change your selections here. Also right click your desktop, click screen resolution > advanced settings, do some fine adjustments here...

Try that first but if for some reason it might either be caused by the current running display driver you have for your ATI card or a pill/unlocker might be doing that but I would suspect ATI's drivers first since a lot of drivers do not like beta OSes lol. Try what ODY and Chbaldo said first though.

Thanks guys. The problem remains though. I'm already in the True color mode, visual effects are the best, and screen resolution is recomended (as what I use previously in Windows 7).

So it's either ATI driver or Redpill? But I am not aware of any other report from ATI graphic card users... Quite strange.o_O

Try uninstalling the ATI driver and revert back to how it was before the ATI driver upgrade dude. That might help from there. IK ATI drivers don't yet like Win8, for example you cannot run CCC...at least I cant haha.
