i can't setting brightness on 7989 My Laptop samsung NF208 , i follow hxxp://communities.intel.com/message/129686 work windows 7 32 and 64 bit not for 7989
Click your battery icon > adjust screen brightness Also, can you go to your laptop's setup to adjust the video?
In the services, there is a "Broker Infrastructure" (running, automatic), does anyone know what it is for? Is it necessary? If not, how can I stop it?
still can not, remain 100% brightness I chage registry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000 There is an entry "FeatureTestControl" with value 184, change this to 84 I can setting brightness but it work on windows 7 (x86 and x64) and Windows 8 7955 not work on 7989
How is the testing going? How glitchy is the OS running at this point? Was thinking of testing but don't know if it is worth it at this point...
I have yet to have any Windows 8 build outright crash on me, although I'm sure it happens, they made a screen for it. Only real glitch is with Nvidia graphic drivers at this point, but everything works fine with driver version 270.61. My WEI score is bouncing around from build to build, I have a 6.9 right now as opposed to a 7.3 in Windows 7, a 7.4 in Windows 8 build 7955. These builds are infinitely more stable for me than the 6801 milestone of Windows 7, which was somehow worse than Vista.
I went to Intel support site and checked for your GMA 3150 video driver, did you download and install the latest one > File name: Win7_64.exe Version: 15.12.75.50.64.2230 for 7989?
I forgot to mention as far as the testing goes, if you modify explorer.exe everything will go black and you'll have to use the task manager to do anything.
I have found out that even my hybrid boot is disable, restarting the pc is still very slow, sometimes even frozen, so that's nothing to do with it. There must be something in the system or registry doing the damage.
Yeah that's what I used, I tried in windows 7 64 bit driver can adjust the brightness with Intel GMA 3150, but I still have to change his regsitry Oh my god My 7989 is very bright at all
The broker is a terminal server role for stuff like remote desktop services. So if you want to make use of that, keep it running.
I just reinstalled a few hours ago, and I got the frozen restart screen right after installing Quicktime. Which is when I think it started last time too.
