sounds like Win8 is set for use in devices... WP7 is very color bit aware, wouldn't suprise me if the rumors of WP8 (neptune) being based on Win8 is actually true! Pre-Mango was 16bit color Mango will support 32bit color i believe
A couple of things I've noticed .. The Administrator account is not password protected .. it was in 7955 .. There are 2 video files in the user account/your look dialog .. not seen those before ..

For those that cannot get the aero theme after installing Graphics card driver Hey, i have the 8600GTS nvidia graphics, win 8 installed some display driver at intallition, and aero was was fine. but them i wen to Nvidia's website and downloaded the latest driver for my card, it installed with no problems, but AERO was disabled after it... HOW TO FIX: go to Device manager > Display Driver > right click on your graphics card driver and choose UPDATE DRIVER <<< mine updated, and the name was changed after the 8600GTS this was added ( MS Corp - WDDM v1.2
Aero still doesn't show up...My graphic card is GTX460. And it said, Microsoft Basic Display Adapter fit my graphic card best...
Dont know if this is already talked about, havent Read through threads,But did anyone else notice that there is "hyperv-core" bundled with this build? No proof ,but looks like they gonna be laying a new foundation for xp mode or what ever it will be called then, who knows maybe "client hypervisor" ?
That did work for me. I've been using Windows Basic since 7959 was leaked. Now we have Metro and Aero! Thanks.
Dual booted Windows 7 with Windows 8. Not so good idea. They're both installed, i used redpill on windows 8, but when i booted back into 7, it said: Windows 7 Build 7601 This copy of Windows is not genuine - I used Windows Loader 2.0.3 on it again, it's genuine now. Is there any fix to this? Also, for those who can't use IE that's pinned, you have to use 64 bit versions of programs now.
It's a bad idea to replace either explorer.exe or imageres.dll or both. I have a black screen on boot up now. Anyone know anything about this? Time to reinstall already?
275.33 (most recent) Nvidia Drivers work fine, you just have to go to device manager, click the dropdown under display adapters, right click, and select update driver as posted earlier by raxor.
I reinstalled because I messed everything up by modifying explorer.exe and imageres.dll and now IE9 works fine, 32 & 64 bit!
