@ Windows4live Log reason says it was deleted at a users request. @ Nawzil Your post was issued today at 05:19 PM but this post was created at 11:39 PM yesterday.
If this section wasn't moderated your argument would be that because you quoted the text that it's somehow different but really, it's not. You should know by now that we delete duplicate threads and as yours come second that'd be the one to be deleted.
Just a personal opinion, I don't think it is a good system. Yesterday, about 5~6 hours after the B8 blog came out, I saw there was no thread on it, so I started a thread, and when I saw the notice I realized that there must have been some withheld thread on it. Then I went to Shenzhen, and returned another 5~6 hours later, still no thread on this topic appeared. I guess there must be a lot of threads started by different members and were being withheld.
There were some threads but as there isn't much new Windows 8 news nobody checks the thread queue that often. The other reason could be that none of the moderators were online as they could either be at work, on a different timezone or they're simply away from their systems. See, the problem is that if we don't have moderated threads then we find that people re-create threads we've deleted. In the past we'd leave them alone and see what'd happen but the result was always the same; arguments, begging etc. So it's actually easier for us to prevent the thread from being created then to read through everything and then delete multiple posts.
Of course the admins/mods holds final decision as to what is the best procedure, but I am trying to express my persohnal opinion as a member. Take the b8 blog as example; when people came to MDL they would say, "Wow! How come MDL is so slow? The b8 blog news was out for 10 hours, every forum/blog has it for quite some time, but there's zero thread/post/discussion on this news on MDL!?" And take the build 8064 as another example: after I knew the news was legit, I thought of starting a thread on it, but the b8 blog hold-back made me thought the better of it - I couldn't know how long it might take the thread to appear, if it would appear at all. So I had no choice but to post the news in the old "FireStorm Thread" - which was quite un-appropriate.
Better wait a news checked to be legit from masters than a forum with more than same threads with non useful crap or arguments.... The handling is right from my point of view... Sorry for but mine is not the first.....
that was 2 days ago. i only wanted to delete post from closed threads and this nis not possible for me.
