Thanks Hatman and Steph t, I tried to take the spaces out (the only one missing for me was the one after the first "h").. anyway is done now. Thanks.
Those informations that come from "Building Windows 8" Blog are not speculations, we will all see it on The next version of Windows.
i said speculation for this "Essentially, you can think of the Windows desktop as just another app. "...
Anyway I agree with him... based on "And if you want to stay permanently immersed in that Metro world, you will never see the desktop—we won’t even load it (literally the code will not be loaded) unless you explicitly choose to go there! This is Windows reimagined."
That statement is also a direct quote from the blog post of Sinofsky. And, in the leaked builds, there is actually an 'app' called 'Desktop' exists in the 'Applications' folder.
But isnt that also kinda weird? So what if you "rarly" use the Metro UI but don't deactivate it, i really hope that metro stuff has proper on demand loading, so ppl who actually use the Desktop arent going to have more ressources in use.
O ? you mean this 'Desktop' app is really 'Remote Desktop' ? I thought it is the shortcut to switch to the desktop mode
There will be a Media Center, but not in the first pre-release builds. from MS Blog: h t t p :// blogs.msdn.com/b/b8/archive/2011/09/02/reflecting-on-our-first-conversations-part-2.aspx
"Second, the different editions or SKUs are not developed or announced until late in the development process (closer to market availability)." I hoped, that there would be only one version...
There will always be multiple Versions, but i think microsoft should drop the Ultimate, Enterprise, Home Premum branding, so we are left with "Starter" (Starter + Home Basic merge) "Home" (Home = Home Premium) "Professional" (Pro = Ultimate/Enterprise) They can't drop the Versions, afterall they need to make money, Higher version number sure isnt needed for most, but Enthusiast and OEMs that sell "highend" Laptops use these.
Multiple versions are good for the company and the consumers, the more the better, just like the cars.
