After installing the Windows Server updates for August. Wu offers me an LCU from April 2022 , so I don't know what other glitches will arise down the road using the Server updates after W8.1 embedded industry went EOL. For me, it's time for a final backup and move on.
https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1777398/ although, it should not affer old Monthly Rollup, because all are chained and all would become superseded p.s. related mess: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1776078/
I don't know how you remember all this crap. I sure can't, even though I used the Like button on the last link you posted.
You can try this to fix it (you must use NSudo or similar tool to run cmd.exe with TrustedInstaller privileges) Code: set "key=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\ApplicabilityEvaluationCache\Package_for_RollupFix~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~9600.21075.1.16" reg add "%key%" /v ApplicabilityState /t REG_DWORD /d 0x70 /f reg add "%key%" /v CurrentState /t REG_DWORD /d 0x70 /f
Works. Now that you mention it, I use something similar which you posted long ago for removing permanent flagged updates such supd SSUs, .net rollups, etc.
Keep in mind that ApplicabilityEvaluationCache key get removed upon installing any new update, then recreated upon WU scan so you need to add that registry before each scan
Tested, it successfully detected and installed. The proxy also provide some old 2012R2 only update and still successfully installed on my win8.1 machine. Thanks @abbodi1406
I noticed KB4033428 but it installs sipolicy.dll only on Server, for Windows 8.1 it just installs WindowsUpdateClient 7.9.9600.18756 (which is old by now)
Your File Explorer is looks cool, I want it too. How to get that? Which custom font is that? Mind to share with me?
